Basically, the ratings on my pages loosely follow the standard rating system for American movies. The problem is that the rating system was designed only for movies. Despite the belief that there are hard and fast "rules" for the ratings system, keep in mind that the rating almost always comes down to CONTEXT. While in most movies, a bare breast is considered R-rated, it may not if the context of the scene is non-sexual. Ditto with television. They can get away with a slight amount of nudity on television if the context is non-sexual or its only on screen for a microsecond. Since I don't have movies on the site, just still pictures, we sort of have to assume the context is sexual. This is why its possible to have R-rated pictures from a PG rated movie or television show.
For
those of you unfamiliar with the MPAA rating system, I'll explain it.
PG stands for Parental
Guidance suggested. Basically, anything rated PG is appropriate for all audiences, with perhaps
the exception being very small children. On my pages, PG pages are ones that contain NO
PICTURES OF NUDITY or even semi-nudity. You may see a bare leg or foot, and in a few you
may even see women in bathing suits. If you live in a country or culture where this is deemed
inappropriate, you may want to avoid my pages all together.
R stands for Restricted. In
America, nobody under 17 is admitted to movies with this rating unless they are accompanied by
an adult. On my pages, R pages are ones that contain ONE OR MORE PICTURES OF
NUDITY. I define nudity as one of three things: (1) A nipple, (2) Bare buttocks, or (3) Pubic
hair. Therefore, a picture of a woman's breast with her hand covering the nipple WOULD NOT
be deemed r-rated, while a picture of a woman's nipple with a hand covering the rest of the
breast WOULD be deemed r-rated. You will notice that if ONLY ONE OF THE PICTURES ON
THE PAGE IS R-RATED, THE ENTIRE PAGE IS R-RATED. Therefore, just because an r-rated page contains 20 pictures, does not mean that all 20, or even most of the 20, are R-rated. It
could mean that only 1 of the 20 is R-rated.
PG-13 is sort of midway between PG and R. In America, it means Parental Guidance is
suggested for children under 13. On my pages, I use it as sort of a hybrid. It's used for things that
are VERY revealing (some of the time too revealing for American broadcast television, but other
times not), but doesn't really rise to the level of nudity. I include such things as being able to
make out the bump of a nipple poking through a blouse or bra, extremely short nightgowns or
bathing suits where part of the lower butt/higher leg is visible, breasts where everything is visible
but the nipple, as well as scenes of sexual relations where there is no nudity but its obvious that
the couple is engaging in sexual relations.
Of course, many of the pages were difficult to rate since lots of the actresses are from television
series' and, until recently, television programs were unrated. Also, it used be that anything shown
on American television was fit to be rated PG. However, I have noticed that the standards of
television have loosened greatly in recent years. In addition, it was always possible for the
censors to miss something. On at least one of my pages, I have given an R-rating to a page that
shows nothing more than pictures from a television series because the censors seemed to miss an
obvious nipple.
I also have a few sounds on my pages. These are probably more difficult to rate since sounds of
sex are sometimes acceptable (watch a soap opera lately?) and sometimes unacceptable. Due to
the trouble in rating sounds, I have given each and every one of my sound pages an R-rating
simply because they all contain either sexual relations or contain a dirty word.
I hope this adequately explains my rating system. Because ALL of my pages are dedicated to
showing sexy pictures of the actresses, if you are looking for simply G-rated pictures and don't
wish to view others you may want to avoid my pages all together.
